End of the 3rd Series

The third series is in the books at 9:57 am with the last dog #40 completing his run.

We are moving to get to the 4th series that is on the same Kahn's Ranch property.

40. NAFC-FC MULLIGAN OFF THE RAINY "T", "Mully" LM, Randy Spangler


Mully and handler Randy Spangler came to the line at 9:52 am

Flyer - Mully is off and to the left of the mound. He quickly arrives in the fall area to recover his bird.

Left - He went straight through the pond to the area of the fall and back with his bird.

Middle - A big splash into the first pond, out at the point on a line that brought him to the rectangle pond. He swam the top corner of that pond, got behind of the gunners, took a sharp left and got his bird.



39. TRULINES WILD SON MH QA2, "Nike" LM, Dianne Morley

Nike and handler Dianne Morley came to the line at 9:40 am

Flyer - Nike's path to the flyer took him left of the mound and straight to the bird.

Left - He crossed the pond swimming left of the island and exited behind the gunners. He climbed up the hill, behind the bale and turned right, running straight down to the ditch and to his bird.

Middle - Nike crossed the left tip of the point and caught some of the cove. He got out and ran toward the rectangle pond and ran to the end towards the end of it. He took a right to get the bird.


Handle - 38. AFC THE TROOPER, "Trooper" LM, John Stracka

Trooper and handler John Stracka came to the line at 9:30 am

Flyer - Trooper head left of the mound and arrives to the area of the fall with a quick look at the gunners and over to his bird.

Left - On his way to the right gunner, he skimmed past the left side of the island and in the line for the bird.

Middle - Trooper head to the left of the mound and came out on the backside of the flyer gunners to begin his hunt. A handle to adjust and he got his bird.


37. FC-AFC MOXIE GUNNER, "Moxie" LF, Russ Hardy

Moxie and handler Russ Hardy came to the line at 9:22 am

Flyer - Moxie exited right of the mound and ran to the fall area. She made a few loops in the area and found her bird.

Left - Her swim across the pond put her on the left edge of the island. She ran right down to the ditch and grabbed her bird

Middle - Moxie crossed the water to the right side of the point. She ran to the end of the rectangle pond and climbed the hill. After a loop or two she made her way down to the bird.


36. FC HOLLAND CLIFFS IN HOT PURSUIT, "Chase" LM, Alvin Hatcher

Chase and handler Alvin Hatcher came to the line at 9:13 am

Flyer - Chase was released and went past the mound on the right side for a quick recovery of the bird

Left - Swimming left of the island, Chase exits with a straight shot to his bird

Middle - A big splash into the pond, he swam over the point on a line to come on the backside of the gunners. He turned right and in the cover digging out his bird.

35. FC-AFC BOB AND ED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE, "Chef" LM, Ed Krueger

Chef and handler Ed Krueger came to the line at 9:03 am.

Flyer - Chef entered the water and goes right of the mound to drive straight to the bird.

Left - Swimming left of the island, he exits on a good line to the bird. A quick turn and back in the scent area to get the bird.

Middle - Good line with a swim through the entire length of the rectangular pond. He’s out and at the area of the fall to make the retrieve.

Announcement - The Move

As we are about to finish up the 3rd series and set up the 4th series, the Chief Marshal has asked for all the vehicles in the upper parking lot, by the entrance, to please move your vehicles to the parking area down the hill.

Also, for everybody in the galley, you will have to move after the 3rd series is finished.

Double Handle - 34. FC-AFC CITORI'S NO HOLDS BARRED, "Free" LF, Michael Moore

Free and handler Michael came to the line at 8:53 am

Flyer - Free crossed the water and ran out right of the mound, and straight to the bird

Left - Free swam out and crossed the island in the middle angling toward the right corner of the pond. He quickly found the gun station, made a couple of loops behind it. The dog popped and was handled to his bird.

Middle - He swam across the right side of the point, exited and ran through the area behind the flyer guns. The dog was handled to his bird.

Handle - 33. TOPBRASS HAWKS BLACKHAWK, "Hawk" GM, Ernie Hawkins

Hawk and Ernie came to the line at 8:42 am

Flyer - Hawk headed out and left of the mound, straight to his bird.

Left - Swimming out left of the mark put Hawk on the backside of the gunners. He continues to drive up the hill and deep. He is handled to get his bird.

Middle - He swam across and over the point. Hawk went out and drives up the area on backside of retired gun, to drop down and grab his bird.

32. FC-AFC IN THE HUNT'S SHAKE AND BAKE, "Baker" LM, Erik Gawthorpe

Baker and handler Erik came to the line at 8:33 am

Flyer - Baker exited left of the mound and he made a couple small loops behind and near the gun station, then he ran to the bird

Left - He swam across the pond left of the island and came out behind the guns. He looped to the left before coming back to towards right of the gun station to retrieve his bird

Middle - Baker swam by the point and through the cove. He drove up the hill on the left of the rectangle pond and then ran down past the gunners to get the bird.

31. FC-AFC KIRKWOOD'S BLUE GRADE LADY, "Gracie" LF, Casey Adams

Gracie and handler Casey Adams came to the line at 8:25 am.

Flyer - Gracie headed left of the mound and took a few strides to correct herself but then went straight on the bird

Left - Initially she headed a bit left and that threw her out to arrive on the backside of the gunners. She quickly recover and gets her bird

Middle - Off for the middle right gun, she went over the point, with re-entry. She lands up the hill and behind the gunners. She adjusts to run into the fall and come out with the bird.

30. TIPPECANOE'S COSMIC JOURNEY, "Trek" LM, George Wamsley

Trek and handler George Wamsley came to the line at 8:16 am.

Flyer - Trek goes right of the mound and out to the area of the fall. A tight couple of loops in the area and he’s headed back with the bird.

Left - Taking a slightly wide left line puts Trek behind the gun but he quickly adjusted and got the bird.

Middle - As he comes out the pond, Trek leans right and runs through the area right of the rectangular pond. He makes a hard left and dives into the cover to retrieve his bird.

29. FC-AFC FLYWAY'S LONG TALL SALLY, "Sally" LF, Don Graves

Sally and handler Don Graves came to the line at 8:06 am.

Flyer - Sally run right of the mound to the area of the fall. A right bend in the area and she has her bird.

Left - Swimming across the skim the left side of the island puts her right at the area of the fall. A little pass just beyond the gunners and she has her bearings to bring in the bird.

Middle - Across the point and out to the rectangle pond, she cuts the nearest corner to put her up and out behind the gunners. She moves quickly to the fall area and retrieves the bird.





28. FC-AFC BAY BLUE'S ALL AMERICAN GIRL, "Libby" LF, John Russell, Jr.

Libby and handler John Russell came to the line at 8:00 am.

Flyer - Libby heads out going right of the mound and straight to the bird.

Left - Swimming left of the island, she arrives at the exit point in line with the bird where she goes straight out to retrieve the bird.

Middle - Launched for the bird, she breaks through the reeds on the opposite shore and drives down the dam and right of the rectangular pond to come up with the bird.

27. AFC SILVER STAR'S COWGIRL, "Dallas" LF, Scott Leonescu

Dallas and handler Scott Leonescu came to line at 7:50 am

Flyer - Dallas exited the pond right of the mound and went directly to the bird.

Middle - She crossed the pond and through the center of the small island. She exited the pond near the decoys in the right corner and drove through the ditch, taking a right arc on the side of the hill. She came to the middle retired gun station and then drove past it to the bird.

Left - The dog crossed the pond left of the small island and exited left of the gun station. She made a couple of loops on the lower part of the hill behind the gunners and then headed down to retrieve the bird from the ditch.

26. FC-AFC TUCKED AWAY AT RIVER'S EDGE, "Tucker" LM, Alex Abraham

Tucker and handler Alex came to the line at 7:40 am

Flyer - Tucker hits the water, goes left of the mound and right to his bird

Left - He had a good line across the pond but pulled left on exit pulling him behind and deep of the mark. He corrected himself and came in on the bird

Middle - Tucker swam between the point and island, through the decoys which put his initial line left of the retired gun. He drove deep and corrected himself to come into the fall area




25. FC-AFC CANDLEWOODS TEQUILA EXPRESS, "Patron" LM, Mark Medford

Patron and handler Mark Medford came to the line at 7:23 am

Middle - Patron's water entry was wide right of the mound. He made a left arc that took him behind the flyers guns and out to the middle bird

Left - He crossed the pond left of the small island and made his way into the ditch to get his bird

Flyer - Patron took a line across the pond ti the right of the mound. After a couple of loops he found his bird

24. FC WALUKE STRYDER, "Stryder" LM, Freeman Boyett

Stryder and handler Freeman Boyett came to the line at 7:23 am

Flyer - Stryder is off with a splash, running right of the mound and straight to his flyer

Left - His line through the pond and came out pulling right. He made numerous loops high and deep of the gunner before locating the bird

Middle - A good line through the first pond where he cut through with a splash. Back out and a little right of the mark, he corrects himself and gets the bird.
