6th & 7th Series

The same starting point will be used for both the blinds. The handler will be facing south with a light north wind. The sun is shining and it is currently 65 degrees with lower temps anticipated today than yesterday.

The Land Blind is 320 yards along a gently sloping, recently mowed hillside. At 270 yards there is a land bridge between two ponds with patches of reed grass on the edge of them. The balance of the blind is run to a brush marker placed at the base of a mound at the end of the field where the dog will get his rooster.

For the Water Blind of 290 yards, the dog will start from the same mat as the land blind. The line takes the dog on a slight slope to the right cove at the west edge of the “Dog Bone Pond.” There is a small island, which is the rightmost island in a series of four. They will stay right of this island, exiting this pond and angling into a second pond across a prominent point that has been scented. Through the water, to the end of the pond and exiting. The drake is located the base of a training mound planted about 1/3 the way up the slope.
