#32. FC-AFC IN THE HUNT'S SHAKE AND BAKE, "Baker" LM, Erik Gawthorpe

Baker with owner / handler Erik Gawthorpe came to the line at 9:36 am

Left Retired - Baker went past the potholes and by the large point and picked up his hen pheasant.

Right Flyer - Over the land bridge between the two pothole ponds, over the dam, he adjusts to go through the large pond to exit and run straight up to the bird.

Left Flyer - Baker enters the pothole pond. At the top of the dam, he continues his line through the water and across the point, re-entry and completes the drive to his flyer.

Right Retired - Baker crosses the island in the right pothole. He exits out to run right of the area to the fall. he is handled to the bird.

A fine TEAM effort to finish this week of hard work at the 2018 NARC!

Baker came to the line at 11:02 am

Right Flyer - Through the cover and on the bird

Left Flyer - Right to his bird

Middle Left - Line left of the bird but Baker correct and he got the bird.

Right Retire - Through the islands, out on the other side and to his bird.

Baker came to the line at 3:32 pm

Flyer - Straight out and in with the bird.

Boat - Launched on a good line for the bird

Long - Squaring over the berms, he ends up towards the end of the field and turns right to work into the long retired gun

Left - Line up through the middle of field where Baker is stopped and given a whistle to put him on the bird area.

Baker came to the line at...

Land - 10:28 am - Baker got three whistles before the water, he jagged to the left edge of the pond and out. Three final whistles got him on the land to the area of the bird.

Water - 10:32 am - Early whistle to adjust the line into the water. One whistle to get in the water and one to get out on land to get to next pond. One more to get him in the water and get to the point, two to get off the point. The final two whistles that carried Baker to the bird.

Baker came to the line at 1:11 pm

Flyer - Baker crossed the ponds, drove up the field and the hill to the fall area for a quick retrieve

Left - He ran close to the right side of the holding blind at the gun station and turn right to retrieve his bird

Middle - Baker ran straight to the bird

Baker and Erik came to the line at 4:50 pm

Water Blind - Baker ran straight to the water and entered the channel on line. One cast sent him onto the peninsula and he re-entered the water swimming to the left side of the island. He crossed the corner of the island and went onto the far peninsula. A whistle stop on the peninsula and a cast into the far channel set the dog up to swim up the middle to the exit point. A couple of whistles kept him on a straight line up the field and to the blind.

Baker and handler Erik came to the line at 8:33 am

Flyer - Baker exited left of the mound and he made a couple small loops behind and near the gun station, then he ran to the bird

Left - He swam across the pond left of the island and came out behind the guns. He looped to the left before coming back to towards right of the gun station to retrieve his bird

Middle - Baker swam by the point and through the cove. He drove up the hill on the left of the rectangle pond and then ran down past the gunners to get the bird.

Baker came to the line at 8:51 am

Flyer - Baker went under the arc and left to get his bird

Retired Gun - Straight to the his bird

Blind - First whistle 2/3 of the way, second to stop Baker at the blind.
