Series 9 – In The Books

Series Nine is officially in the books at 12:12 pm

This is the only series that will be run today.

As soon as we get the callbacks we will get them out to you ...

53. FC FLAWLESS EXECUTION - FLEX QAA, "FLEX" LM, Johnny Armstrong

Came to the line at 12:02pm

Right Flyer - Flex ran straight to the bird.

Left Flyer - He angled left across the pond and through the pothole. He made one loop on the hill left of the gunners, then ran over to the bird.

Left Middle - Flex crossed the water to the island, swimming by the point, straight to the bird.

Right Retired - He swam out to the large middle island and crossed it heading for the shore. He drove long and left of the retired guns, quickly checked down and turned back down to get his bird.

Handle 52. FC-AFC Lane's Thrilla N Manilla, "Frazier" LM, Michael Robicheaux

Came to the line at 11:51am

Right Flyer - Through the cover and on his bird.

Left Flyer - Down the mound through the water and up the hill. A quick look of the area and has his bird.

Left Middle - He got to the area without trouble and on the bird.

Right Retired - Coming in right of the area of the fall, Frazier takes a handle to the bird.

Handle - 42. FC-AFC MAKE IT HAPPEN CAPTAIN, "Cappy" LM, Gary Zellner

Cappy came to the line at 11:28 am

Right Flyer - Out to the bird and back

Left Flyer - Cappy went through the water and up the hill making a quick work of the mark

Right Retire - In the pond, but got hung up on the large island for a couple of loops before heading out for the pheasant.

Left Middle - Sent for bird, missed the water and drove the hill. Was handled to the bird.

40. NAFC-FC MULLIGAN OFF THE RAINY "T", "Mully" LM, Randy Spangler

Mully came to the line at 11:14 am

Right Flyer - He ran straight out through the tall grass to retrieve the bird

Left Flyer - Mully angled the pond to the left of the gunners and got the left side of the pothole to go straight to the bird

Left Middle - Mully entered the pond on the far left side and swam right to the island to get his bird

Right Retire - Mully angled in right of the island, swam to the far side and went straight up the hill to his bird.


32. FC-AFC IN THE HUNT'S SHAKE AND BAKE, "Baker" LM, Erik Gawthorpe

Baker came to the line at 11:02 am

Right Flyer - Through the cover and on the bird

Left Flyer - Right to his bird

Middle Left - Line left of the bird but Baker correct and he got the bird.

Right Retire - Through the islands, out on the other side and to his bird.

31. FC-AFC KIRKWOOD'S BLUE GRADE LADY, "Gracie" LF, Casey Adams

Gracie came to the line at 10:54 am

Right Flyer - Straight out through the long grass and right to the bird

Left Flyer - Angled through the pond and exited left of the gunners to drive up the hill to the bird.

Middle Left - Swam straight across to the island and made the retrieve.

Right Retired - Gracie angled into the pond right of the two islands, swam across and ran straigth to the bird.

Handle - 26. FC-AFC TUCKED AWAY AT RIVER'S EDGE, "Tucker" LM, Alex Abraham

Tucker came to the line at 10:40 am

Right Flyer - Past the cover and to the bird

Left Flyer - Flyer high up the hill, Tucker got across the water to the area but after a couple of loops below the gall, the handler put a whistle on him to cast further up the hill to the bird.

Left Middle - Quick work to get to the bird.

Right Retired - Swimming right of island, he arrives to the bird.

23. FC-AFC MCKINLEY FIRST ASCENDER-HUDSON, "Hudson" LM, Bill Barstow

Hudson came to the line at 10:21 am

Right Flyer - Hudson went straight to the bird.

Left Flyer - Hudson crossed the pond and angled out left to run tight to the guns and straight to the bird

Middle Left - Into the pond and straight to the island to retrieve his bird

Right Retired - Hudson crossed the pond swimming between the two islands. he exited in line with the gun station and went straight to the bird.

20. AFC GOLDSTAR MIMOSA, "Mimi" LF, Judy Rasmuson

Mimi came to the line at 10:11 am

Right Flyer - Nice high flyer and quickly recovered

Left Flyer - Through the water, up the hill and a perfect mark of the bird

Left Middle - Good line to the area of the bird. We were unable to see all of the dogs work, but she entered at the right time and came back with her bird.

Right Retired - Through the island, up the hill to put in a couple loops before coming down to the bird.

"Mimi" with Dr. Jenell Appel, DVM

Gun Change in the 9th

The gun change is just completed and the bye dog has retrieved his bird.

The next running dog is # 20 Mimi.

Handle - 16. FC-AFC HOCKLEY CREEK'S SWITCH HITTER, "Mickey" LM, Robby Bickley

Mickey came to the line at 9:49 am

Right Flyer - Straight to the bird.

Left Flyer - Mickey angled in the right end of the pond and ran up the hill to retrieve the pheasant flyer

Middle - Mickey swam to the large island in the middle of the pond, he climbed up on it and then re-entered the pond and swam to the far shore. He exited and began to run up the field long of the two middle gun stations. He was handled back to the retrieve the bird on the island.

Right Retired - He angled in to the pond and swam across it staying right of the island. When he reached the far side he climbed out and ran straight to the bird.



13. FC-AFC STEADFAST'S BACHELOR SPECIAL, "Croc" LM, Monte Wulf

Croc came to the line at 9:40

Right Flyer - Slips through the cover and grabs his bird

Left Flyer - Through the water hazards and straight to his bird

Left Middle - Up and over the island to pick up his duck

Right Retired - Through the islands up on the shore and a quick scoop of the bird.

Starting the 9th Series and Update

Getting close to the two hour mark of the 9th Series, we have 10 more dogs to run out of the 19 dogs that were called back.

Out of the original 19 dogs to start this series, five of them are coming in with a previous handle. Out of the 10 dogs that have already completed the 9th series, there has been one pick up.

We have been informed from the Chief Marshal, this is the only series we will be running today.

12. FC-AFC DOTTIE RAY'S LEAGUE OF HER OWN, " Dottie" LF, Andy Kahn

Dottie came to the line at 9:28 am

Right Flyer - Dottie went straight to the bird.

Middle Left - Dottie ran down and swam through the pond, behind the flyer station. She exited right and ran to the other pond to retrieve the island bird.

Left Flyer - Dottie swam across the pond and the pot hole and straight to her bird on the hill

Right Retired - Dottie crossed the pond right of the island to exit just below the bird and make a quick retrieve.

8. FC PEPPERJACK'S MARSH SURFER, "Dude" LM, Kerry Lavin

Dude came to the line at 9:17 am

Right Flyer - Through the strip of the cover and back with the hen

Left Flyer - Dude goes quickly to the water and re-enters the pot hole and up the hill for a quick snag of the bird

Left Middle - Good entry into the pond to work around the area and back with the bird.

Right Retired - Swimming past the larger island he hits the land right on the bird.

95. FC-AFC-CFC-CAFC PEKISKO'S IRONMAN, "Rusty" LM, Sharon van der Lee

Rusty came to the line at 8:53 am

Right Flyer - Rusty ran straight to the bird the flyer

Left Flyer - Rusty crossed the pond and the pothole to go straight up the hill to the bird

Left Middle - The dog entered the pond, crossed the point and re-entered swimming right to the island to retrieve the bird.

Right Retired - Rusty's entry into the pond took him between the two islands and up and out in the far side, left of the gun station. He drove up the hill and then swung to the right and down to get his bird.
